Phuket post-mortem

Hi bloggers!

Just came back from Phuket and it was great! why is it great and not awesome? well, it kinda rain the whole time we were there and the snorkeling tour canceled our trip because the waves are damn high :(

Kinda sad because that was one of the main reason we wanted to go there. I didn't know that it's monsoon season in Phuket/Krabi area because for Singapore and Bangkok, it's scorching hot! Oh wells, so avoid monsoon season between June to October. If you really need to go, you either go early June or End of October will be the best.

Did I tell you it's my first flight (after donkey years)? Well yes, I was quite terrified and to makes things worse, the turbulence was damn scary when we are nearing Phuket. It's like a roller coaster but we wouldn't really know when it will stop. It wasn't a very deep fall but we can feel it and the kids goes "woooooh". I think that they had fun but they didn't know that it was scary for us. We say our prayers and hoping that it will end soon or we landed as soon as possible :/

Before take off

Before turbulence

I didn't do much research about Phuket. I only read up on low tides, choppy waters. May be because I did say that "go aje" without looking at the weather forecast and mom scolded me because may be it's monsoon season.true enough it is, to our surprise. Should have check at the this website for the weather forecasting. It rained till the end of the last day we were there. Anyways, our hotel, Baramee Resortel was good. Very spacious and at the same time, me and my cousin got the best view. hehe. There's free WIFI in room and computers at the lobby. There's also shuttle bus to and back from Patong beach for free. So for those of you who reads the comments at agoda or any other, it's not true! Haha!

And after unpacked and made our prayers, we went to the lobby and wait for a car to pick us up to the horse riding area. How is it feel like to ride a horse? Awesome!!!

If you are living in Phuket, you can google this horseback riding company. They are really kind and polite. If you stay in Krabi, you can google this and this :)

After riding, we felt so hungry and rushed back to the hotel, washed up and grab dinner at the nearest halal stall. Because we stayed far away from Patong, we actually had our meal near the mosque and it was super delish! It's quite a distance (may be because it was uphill or because we are too hungry :P) around 5-10 minutes walk. We don't have any other options unless we wanted to eat at Patong.

Patong Mosque

Exactly opposite the mosque
There are more halal food at Patong Beach then at our place but we love our place because it escapes from all the busyness and traffic. Our hotel is always easy to excess and the last to be first to be send home. So here are some of the eateries opposite Patong Beach and along the Jungceylon Mall.

There's Cairo (we passed by this place several times)

Shall continue second, third and fourth day there.
