2 months of marriage and A GREAT SHORT TRIP!

Image
Bismillah! Dear BTBs and ex-BTBs, Alhamdulillah, just in time that we landed on our 2 months anniversary as husband and wife, we also received good news from Syarfique, our photographer that the our wedding picture is ready! Yeayyy! I really love the outdoor pictures more than the wedding itself coz most of the wedding photos are found in my FB. haha. Here are some sneak peaks that I will show to you, and not to anyone else via FB.     I know I haven't do my wedding post-mortem and AFI. I will write a short, simple and sweet one soon(coz I wrote one and I didn't have WIFI so it didn't autosave, so by the time I have internet I forgot to press save, the laptop show tantrum and shut off by itself and poof, gone! So I don't want to rewrite it again, maybe later when I'm good).  I found this one cute couple who made their courtship a book. Too sweet I tell you and I stalked his IG ever since.

A month of marriage

Bismillah. I'm suppose to blog about my wedding but I'll start with a month marriage life. Alhamdulillah a month full of love, ADAPTING and SACRIFICE. As much as I prepared for it but in the end, when you go through it, you will know you boundaries and sabr in you. And pulak tu after 2 weeks of marriage hari raya haji, melalak berbakul2 aku first time hari raya tak dgn mak ayah. Luckily, A nak solat hari raya kat Alkaff, dpt solat with my mummy and balik rumah sekejap before going back to my MIL place to host for hari raya. It's different now as the youngest in the family and to host my abang2 and kakak2. Alhamdulillah to my SIL and BIL semua memahami, they are just a phone call away and they will be there help us with everything. And I learn a lot of A's characteristics, the other side of him that I don't know of. HAHAH. Sajak lah tu, time2 hari raya haji or hari raya Qurban, jadi berQurban lah. It really hit me big time when the Khutbah mentioned about Qurb

Post Wedding - 2 weeks of marriage life

Image
Bismillah! Sorry for no updates since before and after the wedding. It was hard to blog at work, not like how I used to in my previous school and now, after marriage is even worse as at home (or my MIL place, I have to bring home my work lappy to blog) and no time. Yes, you may hear this sentences way too many times that there's no time to blog and people will abandon their blogs just like that. The thing is, it is true! We came back from our honeymoon feeling tired and under the weather as the haze was at it's peak at that moment of time. Me being me, always kena food poisoning. Luckily I ate the charcoal pills earlier but I always keep on going to the loo coz of my bowel movements. We both like tekak loya, my MIL lagi boleh say ntah2 dah ade isi and I was like, it's only 2 weeks! There's barely nothing! hahah. I shall blog about my prewedding prep work and the craziness and greatness that we (and my bridemaids of course) go through. And the real date as well.

It's gonna be May (me)

Image
Salam Alaikum! Hehehe. catchy eyyy. Yes, it's first of May and tick tock, it's like less than 4 months till the day. I'm not nervous nor concern, maybe when bulan puasa and raya, I should be scared kot (and emo coz it's my last time to raya as a single lady, bawah ketiak my parents) coz there's so many changes, major life changes about myself and I don't know where to begin with. Like waking up as early as 4.30am(!!) and yes, he wakes up 4.30am every single day. I cannot T_T hahah. okaylah, limit2 5.30am bangun  nak buat sarapan and makanan tengah hari and yes, he expects me to cook so I can't say no or malas-malas. A good wife is to keep his belly full. Another reason is because he keeps on eating takeaways so he got so fed up no home cooked food and he doesn't cook like a daily basis, so yeah. I should start making daily routines of what to cook every single day, giving tips to readers like BTBs or working moms eh? That should be my next post insyaA

Buying of La étoffe (The Fabric) for my wedding dress!!!

Image
At first, I only thought that I want to get the baju nikah sewn by my friend's sister because my cousin,  Ira , was getting married and I didn't know that if she's taking engagement/wedding dress orders. But after discussing, she said she could insyaAllah and help me a lot with the design and fabrics. We went to Arab St on 4th March to discuss about the concept, the design and the fabrics that I want. I only know the fabrics like satin, chiffon, silk, lace, organza and cotton. Other than that, I'm a noob. haha. So dah happy2 and I have decided on what I want for my baju kan, we went to hunt for fabrics. I had no budget and specific lace or colour. If I like it, I buy it. I went crazy at Sharavan as they provide varieties of songkets!!! I love songket, I ni orang lama and now, songket comes in different2 colours and the tenunan have multiple coulours instead of the normal gold and silver tenunan. But, there's always drama to it. After we bought it, we went to t

Kursus Rumahtangga - Kasih Sejati, you rock uh!

Image
Assalamualaikum. I know this is long due but I was so busy for the last week and so tired, like almost everyday I have to complete so many things. 'Ala kulli hal. Kasih Sejati makes A and me more closer than ever. We should do this in like 5 or 10 years time down the road, ade tak? Hehehhe. I love everything about the course and especially at masjid Mydin where the food were super awesome delicious! Okay besides that, the content was super good! There's 8 modules to cover for both days and there's mix of theory and also hands-on. The hands-on part are divided into 2, written and practical. Written will be like half of the time because of the exercises like what you like about your other half, expectations, his/her characteristics, in-laws characteristics, where and when to stay, financial calculation and so on. The practical only will be on the second day and there's 2 games that we could play. I don't want to spill the beans :p What both A and I both learnt

DIY Bunga Rampai

Image
To think about it, I really love DIY stuff especially about wedding. The excitement and satisfaction are way beyond words especially when the day has come and I will be super excited when the guests appreciates all of it :) My mom and I was wondering about the tempat bunga rampai for guests who are going to attend the solemnization and I told her just to buy it at Joo Chiat like the one during my engagement but my mom said she wanted to do it, adding the sentimental value to it. We were thinking of the tanjak type but it's not that feasible as the bunga rampia will spillover and the bottom part like berlobang. So we came out with the idea bakul! Got this old school handkerchiefs from Joo Chiat. I heard Chinatown also selling these. JB also have but the quality isn't that good.   A handkerchief basket filled with bunga rampai, how awesome is that. And it didn't take that long to do all of it though. I can finish like 8 baskets in 1 hour. I like

#kahwinblogs: Betul nak kahwin?

This is my second series of #kahwinblogs after like one year. I remembered that I babbled a lot of kahwin stuff last year. about the other half, the marriage, the journey to become parents and such. I find that we need to take a big leap to go through this phase of getting married and be merry till Jannah. Wedding is wedding, a day or two event where if can be as memorable moment as possible but there's a disclaimer, wedding and marriage is totally different thing. Wedding is all the glitz and glamour, the attention is all at you and full of fun and happiness (and sometimes not due to vendor cockup and all). But wedding is a lifetime (insyaAllah, we dont want to get married so many times right?) where you stay together with that person, to get used to their flaws and bad habits. But you know what, its not always bad things that gonna be in marriage. There's good thing like you will go through hell with the other half, you have someone to be with on your shitty day. You get to

Salam sayangss, UPDATE: Booked void deck and masjid I wish I can do at a hall but my small section have big space of void decks so they don't build mph. I really2 wanted to have my reception at Masjid Al Ansar but they have a delay in building it. Supposedly they will be done by January but they postponed to June and mom is scared that we can't get a place. And besides, it's easier for makcik2 to rewang2 the night before majlis. As much as I dismay, I have to agree with her coz she's willingly wanna pay. Takle nak kata ape2. So we booked on last Saturday and the clerk look at us one kind. hahha. confirm dalam kepale otak dia say, wah ni anak and mak so kachiong spider one.
