Hello Kityy Run - A wet kitty disaster

Hi all!

I almost forgot about the Hello Kitty Run went. From scale 1 to 10 out of the awesomness, I would give 3 meows of awesomeness. Why?

The reasons why there should be no more Hello Kitty Run or they should change organizers:

1. They didn't pre-amp us there were different flag-off timing. Or maybe they just decided there and then since it was like what, 13k pax?
2. There's no contingency plan on wet weather. They didn't brief us on where to go and seek shelter if there's rain.
3. The ending point and tentage meeting area and collection of medals and food and drinks were very disorganized. I'm an events planner and handling that much of crowd with that small tent, it can't fit everyone. And most of them wanted to be under the tent because it was raining, no one wants to be at the carnival area all wet and sandy.
4. Medal collections must have a separate booth so that they can mark the runners tag and gave them the medals to avoid duplication. What happen was a stampede of people who just rush and grab as many medals as they can and sell at carousel for their interest.

So what happen on that day for me? I went with my cousin and her friend and both of them were late. We joined the last flag-off it started pouring. We thought we could take pictures but it was too heavy we needed to take cover.

When we were stranded below the monorail all soaking wet

 So, we took the shelter and tavelator to Sentosa. We were quite dampen by the weather because we were soaking wet and everyone was just lazying around waiting for the downpour to stop. Some went home immediately. We walked all the way in Resort Worlds and most of the runners went for breakfast and had some good hot food while we were walking towards the monorail. Taking the monorail was the less wet and fastest way to reach the end point. When we alighted at the Beach Station, the crowd were everywhere. We walked all the way till we see this finish banner! The rain started to slow down to drizzles.

Afterwards, we need to go through the tentage and my oh my it was chaos. I manage to geth Qoo peach drink, hello kitty biscuit and people were crowding at this one table. I wasn't sure but they say it was the medal table. When I stopped closer, the guy opened the box and everyone started grabbing the medals. I manage to grab the dropped one and it was a wrestling arena. I didn't manage to get it for my cousin and her friend.

We walked all the way in and it didnt make me wanting to take any pictures coz there's long queue everywhere. Pity the girls about the medals, we try to ask around where to collect. We went all the way to the stage and the announcer made a stupid remark which makes everyone at rage. The emcee gave hints and we quickly went back to the tentage. We dont know where to queue then suddenly like snake people started to form a queue and the girls manage to queue. I waited for them at the other side for like less than 5 minutes and we were done. Can't wait to have our meal at Bagus and we all off on our own ways afterwards. Haha!
