Voluntary work at JB Orphanage

Salam all!
CNY weekend was much looking forward thing to do as it was like 4 days off, most of Singaporeans looking forward to go for short getaway, be it Malay or Chinese. hehe

I was one of them as I planned to go Surabaya with my best friend and ended up, the plan was put in the trash as there was a recent case about a plane crash and we all got worried. Ala kulli hal, there was a blessing in disguise as my maternal side planning to do a voluntary work at one of the JB orphanage. The makciks planned to get gift packs, some Qurans and cook briyani for lunch.

They came from all over the Johor state such as Pontian, Segamat and Pasir Gudang. It's not only for orphans but for kids who have parents but in  jail or drug addicts. But because it is long holiday, most of them went back to their families member. So, we only left with 17 girls and 3 boys during that day. Really an eye opener because we don't see this a lot in Singapore and the conditions of kids in Jamiyah home and Darul Ma'wa is far more fortunate than them.

The kids were too happy to receive the stationaries
This is one of my checklist that I wanted to do for so long, a humanitarian/ voluntary work and alhamdulillah we did it. Nothing big compared to other people's work but at least, make a difference.

And this is my cousin's daughter, Nabiha.

Selfie! This make senet cannot stop talking and had to entertain her while his father went for Friday prayers.  T_T
