Lasik journey
Bismillah.
I am jotting this wayyy before just to keep the journaling and process clear. Please mind that this happened few months back and now, I am just rolling it out, to share with you my experience. Firstly why I chose Lasik Surgery with Prof Muhaya was that it was recommended by my cousin Nyna. You can read her journey here. People questioned like why I need to go all the way to KL and much more expensive rather than in Singapore. Well, we are saying about THE Dr Muhaya. She has her specialty and calmness and she puts on nasyid and selawats during the surgery.

After consulting the husband and he said yes, I straight away emailed her office and ask for booking of dates. I am so confident about myself and I didnt expect the reply was very fast and efficient. The assistant booked me straight away and giving me very detailed advises which I understand fully. I am thankful of that.
So I planned to fly to KL over the weekends to shop and go for eye check up on Monday and get my surgery on the Tuesday. Weeeee~

All set and booked my Airbnb and flight, I decided to take bus ride back home instead because I am scared of the plane pressure will effect my eyes and vision as it is still raw. And coming back home on that day itself is crazy but A can't take more leave as he just landed on his new job.
Finding things to do in KL was tough as I wanted to go to so many cafes. Hahah! I will update that in a different post. But am sure A and I will be loving the swimming pool and the room of the Airbnb. I will definitely drop by Muzium Kesenian Islam. Not too sure wanting to go to I-City again though because it is quite far out.
Someone asked why did I decided to get it done on Monday-Tuesday instead of Thursday-Friday? Well, the reason is that I want to shop over the weekends in KL first before my surgery. I am not sure how the condition will be like and whether I will be lethargic or sick after the surgery and wasted my weekends in KL or back home. As this trip is also a make up to A had me cancelling my 2 trips to KL earlier this year (one was my birthday trip with my friends and another was with my cousins because he don't want to go, so I didn't too), more concentration to food rather than apparel. I wish that I can bumped into Fara Fauzana to get photos with her and make a point that we don't look or speak alike. HAHAHAH

Our flight is afternoon flight. A little bit expensive from the norm at $80 per pax. I actually gotten a good deal but you know, price surge once you leave your laptop within 30 mins - 1 hour. Haiz takpelah. We went and taking off from T4, Singapore's new terminal in Changi. Super excited so I asked A to come early and take photos. And I specially jahit some bajus for promo @ Skarvess, ape lagi. Opportunist lah kan. Our Airbnb was quite near from the KTM which I like, the place was very nice but abit stuffy because of the aircon I guess. A keeps on airing out the place by opening the windows. hahah. it was quite big for the 2 of us but okaylah. Its 1 room 1 hall, spacious bath area. I don't mind having this kinda house in SG. Senang nak kemas. We went out for lunch + dinner at Rimba & Rusa by grab coz dah lapar sangat. RM 24 to there and dah pokai makan kat Rimba & Rusa costs RM160+, we took the MRT to TTDI and to our horror, Dotty's dah tutup. Saded, we compensated ourselves to Purradise. So fun playing with the cats and pet them. Went back home by MRT too. The MRT really looks like DTL and fast but not too many people take it. Kenape eh?

Yani asked me whether wanna meet for Dotty's and I said we had other plans for the day. So we had our morning swim at the level 5 swimming pool because the level 34 swimming pool only allows proper muslimah swimwear whereas I was wearing only long T shirt and tights. What nonsense kan? Tak mati pun lah pakai that kind of baju. We went to the expensive breakfast costs RM 9.90 for nasi lemak and setotet je. We went to Muzeum Seni Islam and it was fabulous. Really fell in love with it and tak nak balik.. Went to Midvalley punye ramai orang but it was nice to look2 see2. A also fell sick on that day and had high fever ad runny nose.

The moment that I've been waiting for. We went to the clinic in Kajang, too KTM straight all the way and took GRAB afterwards. We reached a little late because we overshot the timing, took us 1 hour and 15 mins to arrive in both KTM and GRAB. So we straight away went into the eye check up, machines after machines in the dark. A came in at first and then he was tired and felt sick so he waited outside. Lo and behold, the optrimistry told me that LASIK surgery is only conducted on Thursdays and I was there on Monday. They asked me to opt for SMILe. I wasn't really sure and my whole body and mind wasn't coorperating and suddenly I don't feel like doing it after watching the video by the nurse. She said if I am ready, I could go after the first guy who was in OT for 11.30am surgery. Too stoked, I told A I need to time to rethink. And pleading to the nurse I was all out here and now you mentioned I can't do it. Haiz. Went in to meet Prof Muhaya and wow! they really work super professional. Okay, get ready the camera and everything was rolling. I told her I still need time to think and will let the receptionist know about it. Took picture together and we bid farewell.
It was quite sad that I did not do it on that day and disappointed with my life and myself at that moment of time but at the same time I did not have much courage and prepare my mental to do it there and then. In the end, we proceed by going back to hotel and book the earliest flight home. Half day and A was really sick. What more can go wrong?

Was draggy and sluggish, was at KL Sentral thinking of taking the RM10 bus to dissapointment that the ATM did not work and I couldn't draw anymore money. Had to take the expensive train to KLIA using my credit card, bought expensive Starbucks and Dunkin'Donuts just to cheer me up. Well it didn't. Came back to Singapore as horrible feeling as possible. Sigh.
I made the decision on do my RELex Smile on 29 Dec, the last Friday of 2017. I was still scared but for the best definitely insyaAllah. I have to top up a bit of money for RELex Smile procedure. I have also decided to have my mom tag along and not A because he can't take leave, yet again. My mom and I decided to take flight to and fro and staying in a hotel at Bukit Bintang area.

The moment of truth! Took 7.20am flight and reached KL around 8.30am, we had breakfast and changed trains to Kajang. Reached at 11am and waiting for my queue patiently. At the same time, the atmosphere was overwhelming and so many people and kids around compared to the time we came. Had to wait till 12pm and being called to do the surgery together with another 3 more people. Dr Muhaya specifically want me to sit and watch the surgery to make me not to feel scared and true enough, all the scared-ness went away and more to like, bile lah aku punye turn ni. So she started with guys first. When the 1st guy went and successfully done, I was still okay but when the 2nd guy went under the machine, it was like a miracle in front of my eyes. He had 1250 degree of myopic and 200 astig and he could see clearly afterwards. I was so ready for my turn when my mom went to the toilet and missed my ops. DANGGGG. sorry no footage because of that.
Had to stay in the clinic for a while to get some medicine and we are off to our hotel. Hotel pun stakat solat and put our luggage before we went to Pavillion for our late lunch and jalan2 at Pasar Seni to buy some pinggan mangkuk.

All out day!
Morning: Muzeum Kesenian Islam Malaysia, again. Bought moresouvenirs things in the museum. Cant get enough of everything there actually with new products and new museum collections too. Was quite a wrong way to go to the museum by taking MRT to Muzeum Negara and walked almost 20 mins uphill with my mom. Bad thing to do. ahahha.
Then we went Ariani sale at Jakel and SOGO afterwards coz my mom really wanted to go there. Grabbing all the way but grab at SOGO/ChowKit and around that area was crazy jammed. We waited almost 15 mins for the grab to reach us because of the stupid traffic lights, humongous crowds and excessive cars.
We went back hotel to pray and wash up. I was quite tired already but my mom pushed me to go to Berjaya Times Square since we were there. We went and we didn't realy get what we wanted although so many shops selling cheap tops, lawa and very muslimah friendly (and didnt buy any! argh!!) Ate our 4Fingers and we were done for the night.

We are not celebrating our New Year in another country. Flying home at 10.55am with Scoot. No, its Tigerair's planes, dont be fooled like me. Anyways, it was a breeze because we take the train back to KLIA2, went out from hotel at 8am and reached and checked-in at 9.45am. We had much time to go aound eating Baskin Robins, went Pandora to buy my birthday ring and suddenly is nearly 10.30am. Rushed to the Tax Refund, run to our gate and luckily it was near. Hope on the plane and safely homed.
