Dandruff free - at last!

Image
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم I had itchy scalp when I was growing up, maybe from 15 years old and not knowing about the dandruff only when I was 21. I suspected that my dandruff also the main cause of my eczema because when I scratch my head, I will tend to scratch my inside elbow, forehead and neck. I told my friend about my flaky head and she said it is dandruff.  I even went to Yunam Haircare about my hair loss or hair thinning and she said it is because of my dandruff problem. I went to some saloons too but the problem did not go away until recently I tried Silkpro.  It is expensive and I was not convinced. I was toggling between Silkpro and Herbal Essences (Argan Oil) which is so good to my hair but it did not resolve the scalp problem.  Finally after just using 2 bottles of Silkpro, masyaAllah and I only realised that the flaky stuff just gone like last 2 weeks! haha. its is very good and I am thankful towards Allah that this is gone. No wonder my hair is thickening and I felt hot be

Singa-holiday

Image
Since we are trapped in concrete jungle and no where else to go, we were encouraged by our government to do a Singa-holiday. So many sale and promos going on, from staycation to attractions, it seems very tough choice to choose, which one would you choose to go that is considered worth it? Many hotels are giving away packages for staycation to attract us to stay and even, giving $100 each Singaporean for staycation from Dec 20 - Jun 21. The only 2 hotels I was looking at were Marina Bay Sands and Crowne Hotel. Marina Bay Sands giving out many packages such as Gardens By The Bay, ArtScience Museum ticket discounts , their Skyedeck, Sampan ride and digital light canvas for members at only $10 and e ven giving $120 voucher for 2 night stay to spend at Shoppes . Their swimming pool opens since 6am and we can swim for 1 hour. You can sign up to be a member for free !  Crowne Hotel just opened their doors in October (later than other hotels) and we were happy with joy. A's favourite ho

Total cost for our first IVF procedure

Image
It is $15.6k in total. This is the most expensive bill I ever received so far. I got a shock of my life with all the procedure's charges. This is the total bill and what you saw on top is the IVF transfer day itself, I opted ICSI instead of the natural including the storing and freezing of the 2 embryos. Your receipt may be different pricing of what are the things you opt for. The rest of the medication was under my name of $2462 (I paid forward with my own money). So, after government funding of $7700, Medisave of $5000 (because I used my first cycle for IUI), an adjustment from the hospital, I had to pay $2624 on my own in total. Alhmadulillah for the heavily subsidized and funded by the government. I am so blessed. Now we will just wait for the next review to start our new cycle. The next round will be lesser the bill because I have 2 frozen embryos in the fridge, just doing the frozen egg transfer (FET) while suppressing the body from not ovulating and create the correct amoun

3 weeks of being back to work

Image
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم After the long break, I was bumped to go back to work everyday knowing that I don't have work and having to work longer hours (10am - 4pm) than previously (11am - 3pm). But it turns out exciting since we were discussing on CPF, HDB, Medisave, the new CareShield and since Monday, it was about marriage. I will talk more about marriage in a separate blog because it will be loooong. We were talking about CPF and HDB, how HDB were putting lots of rules to let or don't let us buy resale flats for newly wed/first timer. After much discussion I just realised that the HDB made a new rule not to use all of our OA CPF contribution for our house. They made it harder for younger generation to buy resale and pushing them to buy BTO. For me alhamdulillah we managed to use all CPF that as we bought a 1987 house when I was 30 years old. For my cousin, he got married to his wife of 25 years old, they could only buy a house that aged 29 years (built in 1991) or earlier.  Ho

First IVF journey at SGH

Image
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم BACKSTORY We got the not-so-strong positive test before our IVF programme (11 -13 Jul) but on 16 -18 Jul, I checked again, it got fainter and I got my period on Saturday, 18 Jul. It was sad because if not, I don't have to continue with my IVF journey. I didn't tell A earlier about the double line is because I wanted to surprise him and my dad for their birthday but it turns out it backfired me instead. Told A about it on my period day and he was confused, puzzled, surprised and sad at the same time. Overwhelmed with the information like oh, we are pregnant but you got your period? So what does that mean? Do we finally get a success and then it didn't happened? Is it early miscarriage? I called SGH on Saturday (18 Jul) to check when I could come down to collect the injections. They asked me to come on Monday morning (20 Jul), took a blood test and collected Ganirelix (Orgalutran) to stop from premature ovulation.  The injection is stinging compared to

PCO, TTC and Chemically Pregnant!

Image
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم As my previous post stated, I've already started my IVF journey. What happened before our IVF is trippy. Let's get to know more about PCO and my TTC journey.  Before my IVF cycle My body was feeling weird  that is not how normally what I will experience nearing my period. I blamed Letrozole because it gets me too gassy and bloated. And sometimes I have tender breast and feeling nauseous nearing my period. I checked the pregnancy test on my 10 DPO and it was negative, I was okay. Not sad but still hopeful. I watched Youtube channels on TTC, PCO and pregnant and some of them telling the experience and symptoms they had. I was curious and I checked again on 13 DPO cycle day 27 (was supposed to wait for 14 but I was too excited) and saw the finest line. I was so happy but i kept quiet about it. I am so shocked and thankful towards Allah for answering my prayers. It was surreal. I kept on coming back to my drawer and look at it again and again. Is it real? I w

Bromo, Malang/Surabaya

Image
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم I miss travelling!!! Looking at all the leaves for 2020 and my passport is so depressing! This long overdue blogpost will suffice, I guess. A came about loving mountains after watching Anapurna and Everest base camp on some travel shows on TV. From then, we pretty sure making a point to include climbing a mountain in one of our destinations. We decided Bromo as it is the easier version because it is not so hard to climb. AND I WAS WRONG! It was not so high BUT because of the sand and dust (and horse poop smell), it took us long to climb up and down. When descended and I blown my nose, all black particles came out and I showed to A, he felt disgusted. hahah. I inhaled the dust around and when I washed my face and hands, it was so black. Should have brought change of clothes. Can you see the mountain tips? The rooftop view. super nice and cold! Subuh Fajr  Sunrise Me + You See the fog The sulfuric smell super strong Hi horsey Jejak rosul keee I love this shot Love
