#weddingdrama: Pening kompang

Kompang, kompang. I've been like 2 months thinking whether I want to take kompang or not. My fiance doesn't want it, he doesn't belief in kompang and he thought that it's kurafat or something, I told him it's not becuase the kurafat part will be the kuda kepang and eat all the glass pieces and whipping each other. I didn't get the Kompang group that I wanted because they will discontinue their service in September. I asked my mother whether we wanna have it or not and who will make the bunga manggar and both my parents were like, nope it's suppose to be the guy side who is paying for kompang and bring the bunga manggar. hmmmm. since he doesn't want it and it is at my side, I should contribute it on my own right? So that's one. Another is the timing, I told my mom that I want it to be on the beginning of the wedding reception as we will be walking/coming from the masjid. My mom told me it's too early, there's no one will be there. I tol

Updates!! Updates!!

It's hellava month!!! Too many things happened at one time and I have to admit it, now I'm on a limbo. January is suppose to be my happiest month because it's my birthday month. And I didn't plan anything about quitting a job until I went for an interview at KKH. I had some other interviews that I let down such as another KKH position and SIT in AMK. I was happy that I scored on the interview and I didn't thought that he asked for immediate leave by the end of the month. I asked the HR but she said it's okay, take your time. I tendered the day after my birthday after signing the LOA and was having birthday celebration with my parents when suddenly, a bomb dropped. The HR said they need me there ASAP, which I couldn't. There's school protocol and bla3, I couldn't leave it just like that nor I could just get rid of the best opportunity that I can get. But I guess, I can't leave them just like that especially having great friends which are li

Hand bouquet, checked!

It's nearly a month since I've updated. I can't imagine that my life right now is so hectic with work and all. But alhamdulillah, my list of things to do for the wedding day is getting lesser and lesser. I try to do as many things on my own as possible. DIY, not just to save money but also to give a kind of sweet memories and effort in the process of being a bride. Today's post will be mainly on my own hand bouquet. I get the inspiration from my cousin who bought it from a vendor and it looks beautiful. So I've decided, why not I do it myself since it is so damn expensive and doable, might as well i do it right? With much procrastination, I can actually finish up within 2 months but because it was my first time doing it, it too me time to buy things, and if tak cukup, I have to go and buy again. I really love the end of it. I'll show you how it is done from Youtube and also Pinterest :) I had a sample of something that I want my bouquet to be

Exactly 8 months to go!

Image
Bismillah! Happy new year!! Am so looking forward to this year because of the big event and the life changing phase. And today marks exactly 8 months the day. And we celebrated 1 year of our engagement on 29th Dec :) I can't believe it myself that I only have 8 months and less to prepare everything for my wedding. Itinerary is done, some how, my parents and I agreed on doing the solemnization at 11 am at the mosque.  So what am I busy with for the past 1 year? Mostly I'm doing DIY stuff like this  ↓ Centre pieces for my tables. Specialized quotes from Quran & Hadith. And a doa too for us :) The front The back Nice right? I bought the frames at Ikea, 90 cents per piece. The flowers and other stuff will be provided by the caterer. Other DIYs projects will be in other posts as it needed their own. This one, is just purely Photoshop. So, from here, you might know what's my theme colour. Hehe. And my date. Oh sp

Solo day trip to Bintan

Image
Impromptu? Bintan? Solo? Never went there before? I took my AL wayyy before just to stay at home and rest or do nothing at all but because of one HOD told me to go somewhere, just a day trip to Batam or Bintan will do, just to unwind myself, I decided to make an impromptu trip. I know nothing about Bintan and never step there myself. So little time and information, I was desperate and read a lot of blogs on how to go there. I purchased my ticket 1 week before I go after I got reply from Stu from Air Adventure, a 20-min seaplane ride which only available in Bintan. That's the very  reason why I wanted to go Bintan, because I saw my friend, Adilah went there. Other than that, I'm sure, there's spas there but no idea any available spas and how to book (am sucha noob!) So I just make my way to Bintan on 18th Decmeber, on a Thrusday with only an information from Stu that he will be waiting for me at the ferry terminal. HAHA! I took the early ferry at 9.10am and rea
